The 38th Annual Dilworth Home Tour
The 38th Annual Dilworth Home Tour will be held Friday evening, September 24, 2010 from 6-9 PM and Saturday afternoon, September 25, 2010 from 10AM-4PM. This year's tour has a long tradition of celebrating the beauty and historical integrity of homes in one of Charlotte's oldest neighborhoods and its very first suburb.
The Dilworth Home Tour traditionally showcases a broad spectrum of home styles mixing older, traditional homes that have been elegantly preserved with historic homes that have undergone modern interior renovations and adaptations.
The Dilworth Community Development Association (DCDA) organizes the annual Home Tour with the support of its generous sponsors. Proceeds from the event benefit several projects of the DCDA including the Tom Sykes Recreation Center at Dilworth Elementary, Preservation North Carolina, an organization dedicated to preserving historically significant structures in our State, the Hospitality House, and cankerworm tree banding. In addition, proceeds benefit the Dilworth Jubilee, a community celebration featuring music, bbq, children’s games and activities, crafts and more.
This year the Dilworth Cares Committee of DCDA has chosen to donate a portion of ticket sales to Dilworth Elementary School.
