How We Communicate
Dilworth has a number of powerful communication tools we use to keep in touch with each other as a neighborhood.
One of the most significant communication tools we have is our own Dilworth Quarterly, published 4 times a year and sent to every household and business in the neighborhood. Click on DILWORTH QUARTERLY on this website and see the menu that gives you access to information on how to submit an article or an ad for the Quarterly. Ad rates, forms, contact email addresses---it's all there. You can even look at past issues online---- take a stroll through Dilworth's history.
The second communication tool is, of course, this website. Volunteers work hard to keep the calendar current so you know what events are coming up. Click on GET INVOLVED menu option and you'll see contact information for questions on just about everything that's going on in the neighborhood. If you want to join any of the clubs, help Dilworth Cares, or know about the Sykes Rec Center programs.....your answers are all there. FUN STUFF WE DO! is a website menu you have to check out----learn about the Dilworth Playgroup, the Home Tour, the Jubilee, the Middle School Game Nights, and lots more! In short, the website is chock full of information on just about everything.
You will also want to sign up for the weekly DCDA Express email for notices about just about everything going on in Dilworth--- notices about DCDA meetings, zoning and land use issues, some Dilworth business news, crime alerts, parties, the Jubilee, Home Tour, TOADs playgroup meetings, Middle School Mania and Tweens time, and even some Dilworth School news.and other things you won't want to miss.
Another popular way to get hot off the press news on crime, parties, and upcoming events of all kinds is through Neighborhood Network email list. The Network is an email list of over 1000 Dilworth households managed by an Amway-like web of block captains. Check out the website for a list of all of the block captains as well as a history of the Network. (You'll want to sign up today by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it !)
Finally, the website hosts a forum, "Talk To Your Neighbors" where you can chat with your neighbors about just about anything you'd like. There are lots of topics and folks have alot to say about all of them. Check it out!
So do your part----bookmark this website as a favorite, sign up for the DCDA Express and Neighborhood Network, and check the calendar often to see what's going on. Building community is a priority for DCDA----and good communication tools are an important building block!
