Dilworth Court Watchers

Dilworth Court Watch serves as a voice for crime victims. Police officers select perpetrators who repeatedly commit crimes in the neighborhood and refer them to Court Watch volunteers who attend court appearances. A letter advocating a longer sentence or other punitive measures also is submitted to the District Attorney on behalf of the neighborhood.

Who:

Volunteers are residents of Dilworth over 18 years of age who have completed brief training.

When:

Group meetings are generally held 2-4 times in a year, depending on the number of Police referrals.

Where: 

Court Watch meets at Tom Sykes Recreation Center, 1501 Euclid Avenue, usually at noon on a weekday.
