It’s that time again!
Dilworth Cares is gearing up to receive applications for the designation of an agency as the focus for the 2012-2013 Annual Care Campaign. Going into our fourth official year, Dilworth Cares will be selecting a new agency to launch this fall as the focus for the upcoming year.

Dilworth Cares
What :
An outreach program called “Dilworth Cares” was initiated by the DCDA in 2008 to make it easier for each of us, as Dilworthians, to show our concern for others. Each year, after a comprehensive application and interview process, one organization is chosen as the primary focus of the fundraising and volunteer efforts for an entire year. The agency announcement is made in May. “Dilworth Cares" kicks off the Annual Care Campaign with the Dilworth Home Tour each September when a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales is earmarked for the chosen charity.
The "DIlworth Loop" is another arm of Dilworth Cares. It is a periodic email which summarizes other volunteer opportunities in our community as well as highlights places where goods can be donated. To sign up to receive this email, please click the button below and email our representative.

2012 Dilworth Cares
Annual Care Campaign
Selection for the Dilworth Cares Annual Care Campaign Agency is based on one of three criteria:
- The selected agency must be physically located in Dilworth or
- The selected agency must serve residents of Dilworth or
- There is an established strong link between the agency and the Dilworth community.
Here’s the process and timeline for the 2012 – 2013 selection:
- February 15, 2012 - Application is available online at www.dilworthonline.org
- March 31 - Application deadline.
- April 1 – Members of the Dilworth Cares Steering Committee receive copies of all applications for review.
- April 5 - Dilworth Cares Steering Committee meets to review all applications.
- April 5 – April 27 – Agency interviews are conducted by Steering Committee.
- April 30 - Dilworth Cares Steering Committee meets to select 2012-2013 agency.
- May 2 - Announcement of Annual Care Campaign agency is made to the DCDA Board.
- June 1 - Public announcement appears in June issue of the Dilworth Quarterly.
- September 21- 22 - Kick off for new Annual Cares Campaign at the Dilworth Home Tour.
